Triptork Torque Wrench is available in Non-Ratcheting (Standard) as well as Ratcheting models. |
 |
Whenever there is any space constriction, Ratcheting models are preferred to hasten the tightening operation. |
Setting Operations:
Positioning of the square drive : The square Drive plug is movable and can be pushed through the wrench in both directions. This facilitates the wrench to be used for both Right-Hand and Left-Hand threads tightening. Make sure to pull the wrench in the directions of the ARROW marked on the wrench frame
To Set the Wrench:
For adjusting the models from T-10 to T-250, the adjusting tommy bar is integral with the wrench. Just pull red knob completely and position it at 90 the screw rod in the slot provided at the end of handle and rotate it to adjust.
For adjusting the models from T-400 to T-2000 insert the tommy bar provided separately through the hole at the handle end of the torque wrench and rotate the same.
When the bar is turned, the belived edge of the knurled handle moves backward or forward along the barrel of wrench and passes over clearly marked scales. The wrench is correctly loaded when this extremity of the bevel cuts across the scale at the graduation markings, corresponding to the required torque. The handle sleeve is free to rotate. This is intentional and prevents any accidental alteration to the setting.
To Operate the Wrench:
Fix the correct size of the socket to the square drive and place squarely on the nut, Grip the Wrench at the knurled handle sleeve and pull or push on the direction of the arrow marked on the side plates. This should be done with a continuously controlled movement. When the set torque has been applied, a loud metallic CLICK will be heard. Relax the force on the handle and allow the wrench to return to its original position. In doing so, it automatically resets itself and is ready for instant use again of the same setting.
Caution to Exercise:
 |
Do not pull the wrench even after tripping. |
 |
Do not try to open the frozen bolts |
 |
Periodic re-calibration may be necessary to ensure accuracy. |
 |
When the wrench is not in use keep the wrench in the minimum reading position. |
